The Partnership promotes the primary role of parents and their children's first and most important teachers.
The Partnership contracts with Child Care Resources Inc. (http://www.childcareresourcesinc.org) to operate the Traveling Family/Teacher Resource Van, which visits sites across the county, providing parents with opportunities to borrow books and educational materials for their children. Call

The Partnership leads or arranges for these family activities:
- Nurturing Parents courses of four to six weeks in length several times a year.
- Community classes on a variety of topics in both English and Spanish
- Quarterly classes for parents at all More at Four sites in both English and Spanish on topics related to kindergarten readiness.
- Support group for the teen mothers in the Stepping Stones Program.
- Quarterly Smart Start newsletter that is distributed to parents as well as teachers.
- Annual education section in the Independent Tribune.
- Safe Sleep information for all parents of newborns at NorthEast Medical Center.
