
The Cabarrus Rowan Stanly Association for the Education of Young Children (CRSaeyc) is an affiliate of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The NAEYC is the leading professional organization for early childhood teachers, administrators, parents and policymakers in the United States.
Our affiliate is committed to building better futures for young children in our region. We are guided by the vision that all of the children in our communities be valued and that they be offered high quality early childhood experiences.
We promote excellence in care, education and services for all young children birth through age eight by:
- Fostering professional growth and competence of all persons working with young children.
- Advocating high standards for programs serving ALL young children.
- Sharing information regarding children’s issues to local community leaders, legislators and to the general public.
- Encouraging professional behavior and supportive fellowship among all early childhood professionals.
- Supporting parents in their role as the primary care givers and educators of their children.
- Working collaboratively with other community agencies on behalf of young children.
CRSaeyc Annual Events
- Coming Together for Teachers - These training workshops with renewal credit opportunities for educators are offered several times throughout the year.
- Celebration for Children- CRSaeyc sponsors theatrical or musical performances offering cultural arts experiences to over 600 young children in our communities during the spring.
- Week of the Young Child events in April include such things as the Celebration Art Show for Young Children, storytelling events and Health and Safety Fairs throughout our three counties.

- The Coming Together for Children Conference is sponsored by the Cabarrus Partnership for Children in collaboration with the CRSaeyc and other agencies serving children in Cabarrus County. This is an all day conference in April offering over 60 workshops for over 300 participants. Participants are able to earn up to five hours of Division of Child Development approved training credit.
- Celebration for Teachers- An annual banquet to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of early childcare programs and individuals who have served young children.
Membership
Join the CRSaeyc/NAEYC to help build better futures for all young children. Since 1926, NAEYC has led the way toward a vision of excellence in early childhood education. Our 100,000-plus members are teachers, administrators, parents, policymakers, and others committed to bringing high-quality early education and care to all young children. NAEYC members get one year (six issues) of Young Children, reduced fees at conferences, an influential voice on public policies affecting early childhood education, and many other benefits.
